Hiring Process

The process for being hired at Segway Inc. has several steps. Here's what to expect when you apply for a job.

All Employment offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening.

Apply online
Job Openings are posted on a secure website. There, you can search for jobs and read job descriptions. You also can submit a resume and apply for a job. You will receive an email confirmation after you have applied online.

Resume review
A member of our Human Resources team will review your information. This can happen up to two weeks after you apply. If your qualifications match the job requirements, we will contact you for a phone interview. If your qualifications aren't right for the job, we may send you an email letting you know.

Phone interview
If applicable, a phone interview is conducted by a Human Resources professional. It allows us to get more information from you to determine if an in-person interview is warranted. The phone interview can last up to one hour.

In-person interview
If you are a viable candidate for the job, we will schedule an in-person interview. Background screening is conducted prior to an onsite visit in compliance with our Export Management & Compliance Program. You will also be required to complete an Employment Application upon arrival and a Non-disclosure Agreement (aka NDA). There are fields on the Employment Application for you to list your references. Once you have completed these steps successfully, y
ou will meet with the manager or managers who are looking to fill the position. You may also meet other people from the department. The interview process can be several hours long.

Reference Check & Background Screening
If you are asked to continue on in the process and you choose to do so, we will reach out to each of your references.

Once references are completed and we decide to offer you the job, a Segway Human Resource professional will contact you to extend a verbal offer of employment. If you accept the offer, a Security Clearance background screening (post-offer) may be necessary depending on the position location. This could take an additional 7-14 days to complete.
